The NO-FEAR project conducted a workshop and full-scale exercise about “Training and Education in emergency and disaster medicine” in Novara on 24th and 25th May 2022. The MED1stMR coordinator AIT – Austrian Institute of Technology, Center for Technology Experience attended the event and exchanged with other projects.
NO-FEAR – Network Of practitioners For Emergency medical systems and cRitical care started in 2018 with the goal to establish a network that brings together of emergency medical care practitioners, suppliers, decision and policy makers to collaborate and exchange knowledge, good practices, and lessons learned. In May 2022 the NO-FEAR project conducted an exchange workshop with other European projects and products to understand the state-of-the art on training in the fields of disaster medicine, test innovations and draw recommendations. The “highlight” of the workshop was a large-scale field exercise of a mass casualties’ event.
MED1stMR was invited to the event due to the thematic proximity and was able to gather valuable insights about medical first responder training. At the workshop the MED1stMR was presented to the interested audience. It was a great opportunity for fruitful exchanges with practitioners, researchers and other projects on common topics. In addition to the real-life exercise, there were many key-note presentations and networking opportunities.
MED1stMR established a solid base with the other present projects, as Assistance, Vertigo, eNOTICE and NoFear and we are looking forward to further exchange and collaboration in the future.
