MED1stMR develops a mixed reality training solution for medical first responders to better prepare for mass casualty incidents. By integrating a high-fidelity manikin the sense of touch will be included and realism in training will be raised. Biosignals to identify the trainee’s stress load will be used for evidence-based feedback and smart scenario control – all visualised live to the trainer in the software
The MED1stMR solution was created based on the requirements of medical first responders from our consortium. Now that the technology has been developed in a usable state, we want to test the solution with medical first responders from all over Europe. 6 field trials in 6 countries will be hosted by our end-user partners and a limited number of external guests are welcome.

What is a field trial?
A field trial is a MED1stMR project event with a duration of 1 week.
Each day, different groups of medical first responder train in the MED1stMR solution supported by educated Mixed Reality Trainers. Before, during, and after the training, research on different levels will be done to include these results (stress data, behavior, the usability of the technology, etc.) in the forward development of the project.
This event is not public, but a limited number of observers and media are welcome and need to be registered (see above).
