The “Community of European Research and Innovation for Security” (CERIS) and the “Disaster-Resilient Societies” (DRS) co-organised a Cluster Conference from 23rd to 25th March 2022 where MED1stMR was presented.
The conference was held as a follow-up on DRS meetings that took place in 2021. Several relevant topics were discussed by present experts from different areas of expertise and more than 20 international projects:
- INTEGRATED RISK MANAGEMENT – NATURAL HAZARDS and SOCIETAL RESILIENCE
- CBRNE CRISIS MANAGEMENT and STANDARDISATION
- TECHNOLOGIES FOR FIRST RESPONDERS and PANDEMIC CRISIS MANAGEMENT
This event involved a larger number of H2020 projects for exchange in the DRS field. MED1stMR was introduced in the new technology area “Augmented and virtual reality”. A short overview of the MR training was given. The focus of the presentation was on the possibility to integrate real-life objects (such as the high-fidelity manikin) into the virtual training and it was explained how this contributes to a better preparedness of medical first responders. We are looking forward to a further collaboration and exchange with the experts. More information on the conference can be found on the CERIS website.
