The CHI 2022 – The ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems took place in New Orleans in May 2022. MED1stMR was represented there by our project coordinator AIT Austrian Institute of Technology.
ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) is a series of high-ranked academic conferences in computer science and considered the most prestigious in the field of human–computer interaction. It is hosted annually since 1982 by ACM SIGCHI, the Special Interest Group on computer–human interaction and attracts thousands of international attendees.
AIT attended the conference and conducted the workshop “VR [we are] Training — Workshop on Collaborative Virtual Training for Challenging Training Situations” in May 2022. The main goal was, to bring together researchers and practitioners from various disciplines and backgrounds, to develop jointly a research agenda, to address how currently underrepresented aspects of social and collaborative work can be integrated into VR-supported training as we develop in MED1stMR. The workshop was well received by the attendees and got published online.
